Overview

The EVAL-LTC7872-AZ is a high-power, four-phase bidirectional converter evaluation board featuring the LTC7872 controller and LTC7060 half-bridge drivers. It is designed for 48V-to-14V power conversion, supporting up to 1.7kW in buck mode (30V-75V input) and 1.6kW in boost mode (10V-14V input). The design utilizes a 1mΩ sense resistor for accurate current monitoring and features an SPI-compatible port for digital control via a Linduino board. Users can program current limits, monitor faults, and adjust voltage regulation and spread-spectrum settings. The board includes multiple operating modes (FCM, DCM, and Burst Mode) and requires external airflow for operation at maximum power levels.
