IEPE-compatible interface for ADXL1002 MEMS accelerometers, enabling wideband vibration monitoring for condition-based maintenance (CbM) applications.
This reference design (CN0532) details an Integrated Electronics Piezoelectric (IEPE) compatible interface for the ADXL1002 high-frequency MEMS accelerometer. Designed to facilitate the transition from piezoelectric sensors to MEMS technology in condition-based monitoring (CbM), the circuit operates with a 12.5 V bias and 4 mA current consumption. It utilizes an AD8541 rail-to-rail amplifier for signal buffering and TLVH432 shunt regulators for internal power regulation. The design supports an 11 kHz bandwidth and maintains the low-noise performance (25 µg/√Hz) required for industrial predictive maintenance and vibration analysis.
