The PN5180 is a highly integrated high-performance full NFC Forum-compliant frontend IC designed for contactless communication at 13.56 MHz. It utilizes an advanced modulation and demodulation concept integrated for various contactless communication methods and protocols, including ISO/IEC 14443 Type A/B, FeliCa, ISO/IEC 15693, and MIFARE. The IC is optimized for point-of-sale (POS) terminal applications and implements high-power NFC frontend functionality, allowing for EMV compliance at the RF level without additional external active components. It features Dynamic Power Control (DPC), Adaptive Waveform Control (AWC), and Adaptive Receiver Control (ARC).
