The RDDRONE-FMUK66 is a vehicle and flight management unit (VMU/FMU) reference design developed by NXP, formerly known as the NXPhlite FMU. It is based on the 180MHz Kinetis K66 microcontroller and follows Pixhawk FMUv4 specifications. Designed for industrial robotic drones, rovers, and small autonomous vehicles, it runs the PX4 open-source flight stack and supports sensor fusion with positioning inputs for autonomous navigation. The reference design adds unique features such as two-wire automotive Ethernet and a secure element for enhanced connectivity and security. The kit includes the main controller board, an M8N GPS module with integrated magnetometer and buzzer, a Segger J-Link EDU Mini debugger, a power module for 3S batteries, and various interface cables.
