A positive adjustable low-dropout linear regulator supplies up to 500 mA with a wide 1.8 V to 20 V input range and 0 V to 15 V output range. Ultralow noise architecture provides 0.8 µV RMS output noise from 10 Hz to 100 kHz and 76 dB PSRR at 1 MHz. Typical dropout voltage is 260 mV at full load, and quiescent current is nominally 2.2 mA with shutdown current below 1 µA. The regulator supports paralleling for lower noise or higher current and includes programmable current limit, power-good capability, reverse-current protection, reverse-battery protection, foldback current limit, and thermal limiting. Thermally enhanced 12-lead MSOP and 10-lead 3 mm by 3 mm DFN packages are available.
