Overview

Demonstration circuit 1029B is designed to evaluate the LTC2928, a multichannel power supply sequencer and supervisor. The LTC2928 sequences and monitors up to four power channels during power-up, steady state, and power-down phases by controlling power supply enable inputs or N-channel MOSFET gates. The board features four integrated low dropout (LDO) regulators (LT1761 series) providing 2.5V, 1.5V, 1.8V, and 3.3V rails for internal evaluation, though it can also be used with external supplies. Supervisory functions include undervoltage and overvoltage monitoring, with LED indicators for status signals and fault detection. Configuration options for sequencing time positions, thresholds, and timer periods are available via 19 on-board jumpers and adjustable capacitors.

Use Cases

  • Evaluating multichannel power supply sequencing and supervision systems.
  • Prototyping fault detection and status monitoring for multi-rail voltage systems.
  • Configuring power-up and power-down timing sequences for processors and FPGAs.
  • Testing undervoltage and overvoltage threshold monitoring in power management designs.
