Overview

This application note describes the EVAL 2x8-ISO1H812G evaluation board, designed to demonstrate the performance of the ISO1H812G galvanic isolated 8-bit data interface. The board provides 16 high-side power switch channels (arranged as 2 x 8) capable of driving resistive, capacitive, or inductive loads up to 0.6A. It utilizes Infineon's coreless transformer technology to provide galvanic isolation, eliminating the need for optocouplers. The system features an SPI-compatible interface for direct microcontroller connection using 3.3V/5V CMOS logic.
