Overview

This user guide provides technical details for the NXP MAC57D5xx Mother Board (MB) and its associated 208 LQFP and 516 BGA daughter cards. The evaluation board (EVB) is designed for hardware and software development of automotive instrument clusters. It features the MAC57D5xx multicore processor, which includes ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A cores, 2D graphics accelerators, and a Head Up Display (HUD) warping engine. The document covers initial configuration, power supply management using switching regulators, reset control, and debug connectivity via JTAG and ETM. Key peripheral support includes High-Speed CAN, LIN, Ethernet (RMII/MII), and TFT display interfaces compatible with EastRising and Sharp modules.

Use Cases

  • Automotive instrument cluster prototyping
  • Evaluation of MAC57D5xx microcontrollers
  • HMI and graphics application development
  • Safety-compliant system design (ISO26262 ASIL-B)
  • Hardware benchmarking and peripheral testing
