Overview

This document detail the hardware architecture of the Olimex ESP8266-EVB-BAT Revision B development board. Centered on the Espressif ESP8266EX Wi-Fi SoC, the design incorporates a Rayex RAS-05-15 relay for load switching and a Microchip MCP73833-AMI/UN for Li-Po battery charging. Power regulation is handled by the Silergy SY8009AAAC step-down converter for 3.3V rails and the SY7208 boost converter for 5V requirements. The board includes battery protection via the Fortune Semiconductor DW02R, a UEXT connector for peripheral expansion, and a dedicated reset button introduced in Revision B. Connectivity includes GPIO access, status LEDs, and a 5V DC power jack.
