Quasi-resonant flyback controller is optimized for offline switched-mode power supplies in cascode flyback configuration. The controller operates from a 10 V to 25.5 V VCC range and uses digital frequency reduction up to 10 zero crossings for improved light-load efficiency and EMI performance. Active burst mode supports selectable standby-power entry and exit levels, with burst-mode peak-current limits of 0.31 V or 0.35 V at the current-sense input. The device integrates soft start, cycle-by-cycle peak current limiting, line overvoltage and brownout protection, output overvoltage protection, VCC protection, overload protection, and overtemperature protection in a PG-DSO-8 package. Lead-free plating, halogen-free mold compound, and RoHS compliance are specified.
