Ultralow noise CMOS linear regulator supplies up to 150 mA from a 2.2 V to 5.5 V input. Fixed output-voltage versions support low-voltage rails with low dropout and approximately 9 µV rms output noise. The regulator uses an enable input for shutdown and is stable with small 1 µF ceramic capacitors. Protection features include current-limit and thermal-overload protection for portable and noise-sensitive applications.
