Overview

The CY8CKIT-026 is an Arduino-compatible shield board designed to demonstrate and evaluate Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) slave communications using Cypress PSoC and FM4 MCU products. The board integrates an NXP TJA1051T/3 CAN transceiver and an NXP TJA1020T LIN transceiver. It includes physical layer transceiver circuits, status LEDs for bus activity monitoring, and configurable jumper settings for power supply and port options. The guide provides comprehensive hardware details, schematics, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Gerber files. Compatible with CY8CKIT-042, CY8CKIT-044, and FM4-176L-S6E2GM Pioneer Kits, it supports development through example projects such as CAN simplex transmission/reception and LIN slave communication using PSoC Creator.
