Overview
The EVAL-ADPL54203-AZ evaluation circuit demonstrates the ADPL54203, a monolithic micropower isolated flyback converter. This board provides a regulated 5V output from an input voltage range of 10V to 28V, supporting load currents from 10mA to 2.2A. By sampling the isolated output voltage directly from the primary-side flyback waveform, the design eliminates the need for an opto-isolator or third winding. The ADPL54203 integrates a 3.4A, 60V DMOS power switch, loop compensation, and soft-start circuitry. The board features boundary mode operation for tight load regulation and low-ripple Burst Mode for high efficiency at light loads.
