Overview
The DC1096B demonstration circuit features the LTC2642A-16, a 16-bit voltage output DAC with an unbuffered output that allows rail-to-rail swings. As part of the QuikEval family, the board interfaces with the DC590 USB serial controller for performance evaluation via software. The design includes three DACs (U1, U2, and U4) with different output paths: U1 is buffered by an LTC6078, U2 is buffered by an LT1678 with jumper-selectable unipolar or bipolar operation, and U4 provides a direct unbuffered output or an optional buffered path. The board provides onboard voltage reference options of 2.5V (LT1019) or 5V (LT1236) and supports external amplifier supplies.
