Overview

This engineering report describes a 100W LED driver design utilizing the Infineon ICL5102 integrated combo controller for PFC and resonant LCC half-bridge topologies. The design achieves high power density through a compact LCC transformer operating between 180 kHz and 450 kHz. It supports a universal AC input (90-267 VRMS) and delivers a 20-55V output with 1% analog dimming capability. The system reaches 93% efficiency at 230 VRMS and maintains THD below 10% for loads over 20%. Built-in protections include input brown-out, PFC bus overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature protection.
