EVAL-AD7091R-8ARDZ Evaluation Board User Guide
Evaluation guide for EVAL-AD7091R-8ARDZ, supporting AD7091R-2/-4/-8 12-bit, 1 MSPS ADCs. Features on-board power management and ACE software compatibility for data analysis.
Overview
The EVAL-AD7091R-8ARDZ is a full-featured evaluation board designed to evaluate the AD7091R family of 12-bit, ultra-low power, successive approximation (SAR) ADCs. The board supports the single-channel AD7091/AD7091R and the multi-channel AD7091R-2, AD7091R-4, and AD7091R-8 variants. It operates with the System Demonstration Platform (SDP) EVAL-SDP-CK1Z for PC-based control and data analysis via the ACE software. On-board hardware includes the AD8031 and ADA4807-1 operational amplifiers, the MAX17291 boost converter, ADP7118 LDO regulator, and ADR3625 precision voltage reference. The board provides flexible power configurations, including standalone mode and dual-supply options for optimizing analog front-end performance.
Use Cases
- Evaluating AD7091R family multi-channel ADC performance
- Prototyping ultra-low power sensor interfaces
- Testing high-speed serial data acquisition
- Developing analog front-end circuits for 12-bit SAR ADCs
