User guide for the EV-ADF4401ASD2Z evaluation board used to test the ADF4401A translation loop, PLL, and VCO module with integrated voltage regulators and loop filters.
Overview
The EV-ADF4401ASD2Z evaluation board facilitates performance testing of the Analog Devices ADF4401A system in package (SiP). The SiP integrates a VCO, phase frequency detector, and a 5 MHz loop filter for offset phase-locked loop (PLL) applications. The board features an external HMC3716 PFD and an LT6200 op-amp-based active loop filter to support wide bandwidth designs. It requires a 6 V power supply regulated by ADM7150 low-noise LDOs and is programmed via the Analysis | Control | Evaluation (ACE) software through an SDP-S controller board.
