Overview

The MAX22522 evaluation kit (EV kit) provides a complete platform to evaluate the MAX22522 IO-Link device transceiver, which integrates an Arm Cortex-M0 processor and a specialized Analog Front End (AFE). The board features flexible power management with three integrated regulators providing 5V, 3.3V, and 1.8V rails, supporting both internal and external power configurations. Hardware peripherals accessible via headers include a 13-bit ADC, a 6-bit DAC, a high-speed comparator, four variable resistors, and twelve GPIO pins. The kit supports two programming methods: the Serial Wire Debug (SWD) interface for real-time debugging and on-board SPI/I2C EEPROM for firmware storage. It includes a standard M12 connector for IO-Link master connectivity and industrial 24V operation.
