Overview

The REF_ICL8810_LED_42W_PSR is a reference design for a 42 W constant voltage power factor correction (PFC) flyback converter utilizing primary-side regulation (PSR). Built around the Infineon ICL8810 controller, the design achieves ±3.5% regulation accuracy without the need for an optocoupler or secondary-side error amplifier. It supports a universal input range of 100 to 264 VAC and provides a 54 V output at up to 750 mA. Key performance features include a power factor above 0.9, iTHD below 10% at half load, and peak efficiency of 91%.
