DC1989B-A Demo Manual: 50A Step-Down μModule Regulator with Digital Power System Management
Demonstration circuit DC1989B-A features two LTM4676A μModule regulators, delivering up to 50A at 0.5V to 4V from a 4.5V to 17V input with PMBus management.
Overview
Demonstration circuit 1989B-A is a high-efficiency, high-density step-down μModule regulator designed to evaluate the LTM4676AEY. The board utilizes two LTM4676A regulators to provide a single output of up to 50A with an input range of 4.5V to 17V. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.5V to 4V, with a default setting of 1V. This design features PMBus-compliant digital power system management, enabling telemetry of voltage, current, and temperature, as well as remote configuration of sequencing, margining, and fault responses via the LTpowerPlay GUI. It includes onboard EEPROM for configuration storage and is compatible with the DC1613A USB-to-I2C/SMBus/PMBus dongle.
